Fashion Studies 10 introduces students to the exciting world of clothing construction, fashion illustration, design and fabric arts. Students will be introduced to the many different elements of fashion, including sewing, design, pop culture, illustration, upcycling, quilting, outerwear, costume making, knitting/crochet, beading, embroidery and other textiles arts. Fashion Studies is not just about sewing, it is about creativity, design, inspiration, and the pure fun of making things.
Students will cover basic sewing techniques, including fashion illustration, hand sewing, and construction using the sewing machine. Students will design and manufacture simple clothing and accessories.
