Astronomy

Prerequisite or Co-requisite: Science 10
Credits: 6

This course consists of Astronomy 15 and Astronomy 25.  Students will learn about the techniques used by astronomers. They will practice those skills of observing and documenting with the various objects visible in the day and night skies. Students will explore the connections between the history of human knowledge of the stars, exploration of space, and technological advancements. 

Students will see how these topics contribute to our understanding of the planet, solar system, and universe. 

Please Note: There is no corresponding Diploma Exam for Astronomy 15 or 25, but course credit can still be used to fulfill graduation requirements.
